Scuba Diving Holidays In America

America offers perhaps the most varied scuba diving of all the continents, due to its sheer size. From the colder waters of Canada, to tropical Bermuda, there's something here for everyone.

Being such a huge region the variety of scuba diving in America is extremely diverse. Although Canada has similar scuba diving to Scandinavia in it’s Ice and wreck diving around the coast it has a plethora of lakes which offer excellent scuba diving experience.

The scuba diving on the west coast of America centers on California, one place of particular note is Baja and the sea of Cortez which is said to be the one of the richest seas in the world, both in terms of population sizes and number of species, which makes for excellent scuba diving.

On the opposite coast there is equally interesting scuba dives, with the wealth of history Florida has it is no surprise the amount of wrecks to found in the waters surrounding the state.

Probably the most recognizable scuba dive area of the continent is around Mexico and central America, Mexico in particular has an amazing reef that is host to a myriad of different marine species, it was Jacques Cousteau, who scuba dived here extensively, who originally discovered the wall of reefs on the coast of the Island of Cozumel and declared them to be one of the most incredible scuba dive destinations in the world.

From the cold Atlantic Shores of Canada through to the warm clear seas of Mexico this is truly a region of contrasts and with relatively unexplored gems such as Cuba the scuba diving options are virtually limitless.
