Scuba Diving Holidays In Grenada
An undiscovered jewel for divers. Be among the first to experience the coasts of this lovely land.
Country Description
Famed for the US government's invasion in 1983,
which was intended to halt the country from becoming
another Cuba. The invasion was a complete disaster for
the US, and, to make matters even more embarrassing,
Grenada chose the democratic route of its own free will.
Not hugely geared up for tourism (although this is changing),
the country promises a rich history, pretty landscape
and a welcoming population.
Diving Description
Massively under explored, despite its high quality. There
are a number of sites for all levels of diver. Marine life
includes Creole wrasse, seahorses, hawksbill turtles, angelfish,
nurse sharks, barracuda and huge array of damsels.
Dive Sites
Bianca C
Otherwise known as the Titanic of the Caribbean, this 182-meter
Italian cruise liner went down in 1961. One of the largest
wrecks in the Caribbean, it is an awesome, hydroid, hard
coral and sponge encrusted site that lies upright near
to Whibble Reef. Due to the currents this dive is only
recommended for the more experienced.
Molinere Reef
A good site for beginners, this is a shelving reef that
reaches within 3m of the surface. At one end it also features
an impressive wall to 20m.
Other info
For even more pristine diving you can take a trip out to
one of the small islands that surround Grenada.
