Scuba Diving Holidays Australasia
Check out the amazing diving of the Antipodes – incredible scenery only matched by amazing marine life.
The diving in Australasia is undoubtedly some of the best in the world. One thing is for certain it has probably the most famous dive areas, in Australia’s 1200 mile Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the world.

Running along Australias North East coast, the barrier reef gives an almost endless choice of dive sites. Whether you choose to live and dive from a coral island, such as Heron Island on the southern end of the reef, take a day boat or live aboard from one of the many scuba dive centres along the coast, or travel to the far northern reefs, north of Cape York, you will experience the amazing diversity of marine life the reef has to offer, from Turtles and reef sharks to clouds of tropical fish and giant Napoleon Wrasse. No matter where on the reef you scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef is an experience never forgotten.
Although an amazing experience, Australia is far more than the barrier reef, in the rest of Australia you have incredibly diverse diving, the west coast some excellent wrecks, a wealth of marine life and the amazing whale sharks of the Ningaloo Reef. If your after the ultimate thrill ride maybe cage diving amongst the great white sharks of South Australia would be for you, or for a more relaxed scuba dive possibly the giant kelp forests of Tasmania maybe more of your thing.
Australasia is a very large region and, as good as the diving is in Australia the region has even more to offer, New Zealand and surrounding islands are rich in scuba dive sites. Due to the warmth of the waters in the north, and almost arctic conditions in the south, and almost 20000 miles of coastline, New Zealand has hundreds of dive sites covering a wide variety of marine environments, sub-tropical reefs and wrecks and this is without covering the numerous lakes and rivers worth exploring.
Australasia is the jewel in diving’s crown with an unrivalled experience for scuba divers of all levels, no matter what type of dive you want you’ll find it here.
