Scuba Diving Holidays In Cayman
Whether wreck diving or wall diving is you thing, you can't do better than this beautiful trio of islands off the coast of Cuba.
Country Description
Three tiny islands - Grand Cayman, Little Cayman
and Cayman Brac - that are supported by the diving, shopping
and banking industries. The islands lie within the shelter
of the crescent shaped landmass of communist Cuba, however
life on the Caymans couldn't be further removed from
its neighbour. Here you will find a paradise for shoppers,
bankers and divers alike.
Diving Description
Wall diving is a speciality here with Little Cayman renowned
for it's spectacular, sheer coral-covered faces. However
wreck diving is also popular thanks to the mixture of purposefully
sank ships and others that met more accidental ends. Visibility
is outstanding and thanks to the heavily policed conservation
laws the reefs are in good order. However there is evidence
of diver-damage to reefs to the West End of the Grand Cayman
due to the sheer volume of beginners learning to dive here.
Dive Sites
Bloody Bay and Jackson Bay
Bloody Bay and Jackson Bay in Little Cayman are well known
as the best wall diving locations in the world.
MV Keith Tibbetts
A Russian destroyer intentionally sank off the shore of
Cayman Brac in attempt to lure mire visitors. Visibility
here is usually outstanding.
Other info
You will need to provide proof of your dive qualification,
