Scuba Diving Association with BSAC Well to be honest we could never understand BSAC. They are very unclear about everything except the fact
that Prince Charles is their patron. Explains it, huh?
Quite frankly we couldn't recommend BSAC as there is very little known on the structure of their courses and materials.
we could be being a bit harsh but have you looked at their web site, oh dear! It took us 5 minutes to find the courses
then we had to figure out which one was what.
One thing we know is that BSAC clubs are very renowned for producing excellent divers that are well suited to cold
water diving. They place an emphasis on repetitive training in the water. The only problem with this method is that
your average diver does not want to be a hard-core cold water diver but instead just wants to go have some fun on
holiday. For that reason alone we have heard of so many people who have not finished their courses.
So if you're as tough as nails and have a lot of time to spend then BSAC are the way to go. Otherwise try one of the
more professional organisations that better suit your needs.
If anyone from BSAC wishes to add any content here then please drop me an email
and we will include it.
"Many of your comments used to be true. Lately, the BSAC has done a lot of work in updating their courses." Well it does look better to me except its still really vague on how many sessions some cources take
